We’re thrilled to announce the BEA Building Retrofit Seed Grant recipients!
Laminar Collective – will organize bulk heat pump installations in environmental justice areas in Malden and surrounding areas, in partnership with the City of Malden. During the campaign, the team will identify multifamily buildings with electric resistance heating, host heat pump events, support residents with HEAT loan applications and rebates, offer design proposals for multifamily buildings, and support project management for installations. At the conclusion of the campaign, the team will publish a public research study on the campaign outcomes.
Revitalize CDC -will launch upcoming work on the new Green & Resilient Springfield program, with a focus on home energy retrofits for low-income residents. The team will create a project plan and recruit, hire, and train Home Energy Retrofit staff. Revitalize CDC will also begin community outreach to ensure that residents are aware of available energy retrofit programming. Revitalize CDC’s Community Navigator will assist clients with obtaining energy efficiency-related services for low-income residents.
